The Indonesian government under Prabowo Subianto-Gibran Rakabuming Raka launched a free nutritious meal program (MBG) on Monday targeting infants, students, pregnant women, and nursing mothers. The program will operate across 26 provinces through a total of 190 kitchens, with a target of 3 million beneficiaries between January and March 2025. The government plans to provide nutritional support to 82.9 million people by 2029 through the long-term MBG program. This program marks the first time in Indonesian history that nutritional support is being implemented on a nationwide scale as part of the government's social welfare policy.
