On the 30th, the second day of the Jeju Air passenger plane disaster that occurred at Muan International Airport in South Jeolla Province, the identities of 140 out of 179 deceased have been confirmed. The families of passengers are expected to receive the remains once investigative procedures and autopsies by authorities are completed. At the time of the accident, Jeju Air Flight 7C2216, which was traveling from Bangkok, Thailand to Muan Airport, collided with the runway after the landing gear failed to operate. A total of 179 people died in the accident, including 175 passengers, 2 pilots, and 2 cabin crew members. Currently, recovery of remains and investigation of the accident cause are ongoing.
