Advantages
1. Really light
2. Extremely light
Disadvantages
1. It's really inconvenient to remove the report
2. Exorbitantly expensive
3. The shoe durability is the worst I've ever worn
4. The stack is low, so the outsole is likely to break soon + Sensitive people may need additional fitting
Simply put, that's about it. When you see it in person for the first time, you can see a lot of details that show it's a limited edition. Especially, the orange tack of the Velcro can be said to be the identity of this shoe, but it doesn't really function.
There is only one dial, but since the shoe structure itself holds your foot very well, I have never felt that my foot was not held because there was only one dial.
However, for those who ride mainly for power, I strongly recommend Ares2.
Getting back to the main point, when climbing, the shoes are light, so you can definitely feel the lightness when riding at a high cadence. This is definitely an advantage in this regard, but if you pull like me, the heel cup is smaller than the previous model, so it can be a disadvantage that it doesn't support your strength.
Another weakness is durability. I think it's an inevitable fatal flaw for lightweight models. The front bumper part cracked in no time, and the paint on the upper part peeled off, so if you fall, it feels like it will be at a level where you have to throw it away.
They advertise that the toe box has become larger, but I don't know. It actually feels similar to when I first wore the previous E-Works 7. However, the foot fatigue is really terrible, so if you have wide feet, I recommend inserting something like newspaper inside for a week to stretch them out.
So, if someone asks me if I would recommend it, I would absolutely discourage them. Of course, if you want to buy it, there's nothing I can do about it. But considering that there are many other options, I wrote this review so that you can make a purchase after reading it.
In conclusion, it is a shoe with clear advantages and disadvantages, but no advantages to compensate for the disadvantages.
If you object, you're right
