The purposes of drug abuse are diverse, including dieting and academic achievement, and there is also an increase in drug use for the purpose of fun to belong to peer groups. As a result, the proportion of teenage drug offenders increased by 1.2 percentage points compared to last year, accounting for 4.1%. Rep. Moon Jin-seok emphasized the need to strengthen border drug control and establish a preventive education system in schools and families.
