The Korea Cultural Centre UK in London will host a Korean contemporary art exhibition titled "Records Beyond Boundaries" from October 25th to December 31st. This exhibition explores how history and culture are understood and remembered through the works of artists Shin Mi-kyung, Kim Ah-young, Jung Eun-young, and Gala Porras-Kim. Shin Mi-kyung creates everyday soap into art pieces to convey the meaning of preservation, while Kim Ah-young presents a work dealing with the British occupation of Jeju Island, showcasing the diversity of historical records. Jung Eun-young examines memory and transmission methods through 1950s female national operas, and Gala Porras-Kim addresses the limitations within the process of museums researching and preserving cultural heritage. This exhibition was planned in conjunction with the British Museum's special exhibition "Korea".
