A man in his 70s, Mr. A, was sentenced to 30 years in prison for allegedly killing Ms. B, a woman in her 80s who lived next door, and abandoning her body after mutilating it. Mr. A showed an attitude of blaming the victim, saying that he was angry when the victim met another man and killed her. He did not show any remorse in court. The prosecution sought life imprisonment, but the first and second trials sentenced Mr. A to 30 years in prison, considering his age and health condition. The Supreme Court also dismissed the appeal, and Mr. A will effectively spend the rest of his life in prison.
