Vivo launched its latest flagship smartphone, the Vivo X500, in Shanghai as the successor to the Vivo X300. The Vivo X500 comes with a triple rear camera system consisting of a 50 MP main camera, a 64 MP telephoto camera, and a 50 MP ultrawide camera, as well as a 50 MP selfie camera. The telephoto camera has an increased resolution of 64 MP and uses a Sony Lytia 610 sensor measuring 1/1.2 inches. The Vivo X500 can record 4K 120 fps video with various recording features such as Cinematic Color Video and Auto Framing Video. Vivo partnered with Zeiss for the camera system on the Vivo X500.
