Hwajeokyeon, located along the Han River in Pocheon, is a place where the Guwi Festival was held and has been known as a famous scenic spot since the Joseon Dynasty. This place, which also appears in the first painting of 'Haeakjeonsincheop', a collection of landscape paintings by Gyunjae Jeong Seon, is famous for its unique rock formations and beautiful natural scenery. Recently, it has been gaining attention again as a filming location for dramas and a stage for outdoor musicals. Pocheon City is working hard to develop cultural tourism content using Hwajeokyeon and build an image of a humanities city.
