The US August Producer Price Index (PPI) rose 0.4% from the previous month, raising concerns about inflation. This is due to the rise in international oil prices, which has significantly increased energy prices. In particular, diesel fuel prices surged by 24.1%. Excluding energy, the PPI rose 0.3% from the previous month. This indicator is expected to influence the Fed's interest rate decision in September. Market expectations for a 0.25 percentage point increase in the benchmark interest rate by the Fed in September have risen to 70%. The Consumer Price Index (CPI) to be announced the following day is also expected to be an important variable in the Fed's interest rate decision.
