The Daegu Western District Prosecutors' Office has indicted a 60-year-old man, Mr. A, who had been caring for his disabled ex-wife for 13 years. Mr. A surrendered himself on the 23rd of last month on suspicion of strangling his ex-wife, Ms. B (40s), to death at his apartment. Ms. B had a disability that made it difficult for her to carry out daily activities. The two had divorced in 2023 but began living together again. The prosecution determined that Mr. A committed the crime due to long-term caregiving burdens and family discord.
