They put a third-party hard disk drive limit policy on the DS925+, so they were really annoyed...
Since they released DSM7.3 Update and lifted it again... I thought these guys would finally get a taste of something good...
I was wrong.
The NVMe volume creation function that appeared on the DS923+ was only applied to their own NVMe, which wasn't very satisfactory...
From the DS925+, if it's not their own NVMe, you can't even create a volume, let alone a cache.
At least they say that migrating the cache of third-party NVMe created on an existing NAS is possible.
So there seems to be no other way than to create a cache on another NAS, bring it in, and migrate it for use.
Thinking about how expensive Synology's NVMe would be, I searched for the price on Danawa, but all I got was anger...
It's not even an enterprise product...
