The handball stadium at Olympic Park in Songpa-gu, Seoul, which was used as a polling station during the June 3 local elections, has been under lockdown for 95 days due to ongoing protests. This has caused disruptions to the operations of nine sports organizations. Ahead of the Asian Games, the Korea Sports Association cooperated with the police to allow staff to enter the stadium and remove essential items such as computers, laptops, and documents needed for minimum operations. While protesters expressed their disapproval during the removal process, no violent incidents occurred. The association pledged to do its best to ensure the successful hosting of the Asian Games.
