This year's Chuseok holiday table costs are expected to decrease slightly compared to last year. According to a survey by the Korea Agro-Fisheries & Food Trade Corporation, the average cost for a family of four was 199,693 won, down 1.8% from the previous year. Both traditional markets and large retailers showed slight cost reductions. The Korea Price Association predicts a nationwide average of 284,010 won based on traditional market prices, which is 1.1% lower than last year. The Price Monitoring Center of the Korean Consumers Association estimated 220,470 won at traditional markets and 301,414 won at large supermarkets.
