Seoul Police Chief Go Beom-seok said he plans to review the possibility of reopening an investigation into allegations of "COVID-19 drug favoritism" against Justice Minister nominee Kim Seung-won on July 7th. The case was already given a suspended prosecution in December 2024, but legal circles believe that since a suspended prosecution is not a judgment, police can reopen the investigation.
