The IQAir AirVisual app can be used to check air quality in various regions of Indonesia through a smartphone. The app uses the Air Quality Index (AQI) on a scale of 0-500 to measure the level of air pollution, where a higher score indicates poorer air quality. There are six main pollutants calculated in the AQI, namely PM2.5, PM10, carbon monoxide, sulfur dioxide, nitrogen dioxide, and ozone gas. The data used by AirVisual comes from various sources such as government monitoring stations and community contributors, then validated by IQAir. Users can view the air quality score in their current location or in other areas through the map feature in the app.
