In particular, they raised questions about President Yoon Suk Yeol's judgment in appointing Yong, citing her past experience as a member of the Gyeonggi Basic Income Committee and controversies surrounding Kim Hyun-ji's past appointments. They also pointed out that Yong allegedly received tax benefits for donating large sums to the Basic Income Party. The People Power Party criticized these points as going beyond personnel failure and calling it a "personnel disaster," demanding President Yoon Suk Yeol withdraw the nomination of the unqualified candidate and apologize.
