The special investigation team of the National Election Commission (NEC) will hold a public hearing on July 7th to investigate issues such as the shortage of ballots in the June 3rd local elections and launch a full-scale investigation. The team is currently analyzing data received from the existing joint investigation headquarters, and plans to investigate 12 suspicions, including ballot shortages, vote count manipulation, overseas trips by NEC officials, preferential hiring and promotions, and preferential contract awards. The main investigation period is 90 days, but it can be extended up to 150 days if necessary. The team stated that it will thoroughly clarify national suspicions in accordance with the law and principles, uphold fairness and political neutrality, and conduct a swift and strict investigation.
