Easy Kimchi Stew Recipe for Home Cooking

 

This is a simple kimchi stew recipe that can be easily made at home without any complicated processes. It's for one serving, so anyone can follow it easily. Give it a try!

Ingredients Needed

  • Kimchi 250g (Set aside half of the kimchi broth)

  • Main Topping (choose one): 200g pork, 1 can Spam, or 1 can mackerel

  • Jin Ramen Mild Flavor 1 pack

  • Sesame Oil a little bit

Total Cooking Time: About 12 minutes

Instructions

  1. Put the kimchi, reserved kimchi broth, and 2/3 of the Jin Ramen soup mix into a wide pot or wok.

  2. Pour in 500ml of water and bring to a boil over high heat.

  3. Once boiling, add your chosen main topping. (If using mackerel, discard about half the broth and add the remaining broth along with the mackerel. This is the key to the flavor.)

  4. You can also add onions, green onions, tofu, gochugaru (Korean chili flakes), minced garlic, or other ingredients according to your preference. It's delicious even without them.

  5. Boil for about 2 minutes, then add the remaining Jin Ramen noodles if desired and continue boiling.

  6. When the broth has thickened, turn off the heat and stir in two tablespoons of sesame oil. It's ready!

Kimchi stew is delicious with warm rice and also makes a great side dish for alcohol. Enjoy!
