The National Assembly passed a bill extending the activity period of the special committee for investigating the Itaewon disaster on October 29th to September next year. In addition, an amendment to the National Intelligence Service Act was also passed, which adds 'economic security' to the scope of work of the National Intelligence Service and includes 'suspected cases of international and national hacking organizations' in the targets of cyber security information activities. This was achieved despite opposition from progressive parties, such as the Justice Party and the Innovation Party. The Innovation Party also opposed the amendment to the Special Act on Designation of Suitable Business Types for Small Businesses and Self-Employed Persons proposed by the Democratic Party of Korea. In addition, amendments to the Industrial Accident Compensation Insurance Act were passed to provide support for assistance related to workers' compensation insurance for vulnerable social groups, as well as amendments to the One-Person Creative Enterprise Fostering Act to promote one-person creative enterprises in areas with declining populations and amendments to the Venture Investment Promotion Act.
