The Korea Football Association has appointed Roberto Moreno, a Spanish coach, as the interim manager to lead six A matches in the second half of the year. Coach Moreno has experience being promoted from interim manager to full-time manager for the Spanish national team and has served as assistant coach for FC Barcelona. The association selected an interim manager through a public recruitment process for the first time, and there is a possibility that Coach Moreno will continue to hold the baton until the Asian Cup in January next year, depending on his performance. Coach Moreno is expected to contribute to the development of Korean football with his Spanish coaching staff.
