Country music queen Dolly Parton was laid to rest in a private funeral attended only by immediate family and close friends. She was entombed beside her husband of 59 years, Carl Dean, wearing stiletto heels and a cotton dress. In accordance with Parton's will, an unreleased song titled "My Place in History" is scheduled for release in 2046. Old hymns that Parton favored were played at the funeral. Following Parton's death, fans have been paying tribute, leading to renewed popularity of her signature songs such as "Jolene" and "I Will Always Love You" on the Billboard charts.
