An Air India passenger plane crashed five minutes after takeoff near Ahmedabad Airport in India, killing at least 265 people. Among 242 passengers on board, only one British national survived and is receiving hospital treatment. The cause of the crash has not yet been determined, but investigation teams from the United States and United Kingdom are expected to be dispatched to India. The accident also resulted in the deaths of five medical students on the ground, with 50 others injured. Air India announced it will provide compensation of approximately 150 million won to families of the deceased and will cover medical treatment costs for the injured.
