A large-scale flood occurred in the Himalayan mountainous region of Nepal, and the number of missing persons surged to 823. Among the missing persons, there are 517 foreigners, and the death toll has been tallied at 270. This flood is presumed to have been caused by climate change in the Himalayas due to global warming, with analysis indicating that it occurred as glaciers and rocks collapsed. In addition to Nepal, landslides also occurred in the Tibet region of China, resulting in three deaths and 558 missing persons. Nine Koreans from Korea South-East Power and Doosan Enerbility have also lost contact.
