Boxer Im Ae-ji suffered a torn anterior cruciate ligament in her left knee during training. As a result, Im Ae-ji will be unable to compete in the women's 54kg class at the 2026 Aichi-Nagoya Asian Games. The Korea Boxing Association selected Yang Yi-young, who finished second in the women's 54kg national team selection tournament, as Im Ae-ji's replacement for the Asian Games. Im Ae-ji expressed regret over her injury and requested support for other athletes.
