The Seoul Central District Prosecutors' Office previously decided to dismiss charges against Kim Keon-hee, wife of former President Yoon Suk-yeol, for alleged conspiracy and facilitation in the Deutsche Motors stock price manipulation case. However, the Seoul High Prosecutors' Office has now decided to reopen the investigation. The move comes after the Supreme Court confirmed the guilty verdicts of Kwon O-su, former chairman of Deutsche Motors, and other co-conspirators, creating a need to re-examine connections with Kim. The Seoul High Prosecutors' Office, led by High Prosecutor Park Se-hyun, will conduct the investigation. Kim had been suspected of providing funds for the stock price manipulation scheme led by former Chairman Kwon. Additionally, Kim's appeal against the dismissal of charges in the luxury handbag case was rejected.
