Minister of Land, Infrastructure and Transport Kim Yun-deok and Seoul Mayor Oh Se-hoon discussed the issue of housing supply using Yongsan Park, but failed to narrow their differences. The government intends to build housing for young people and newlyweds on a portion of Yongsan Park, but Seoul City opposes it, emphasizing historical value and green space. The 73,000 households expected to be additionally supplied will not include Yongsan Park, and the possibility of including green belt areas such as the reserve training ground in Naegok-dong, Seocho-gu is low. The government plans to actively review the Gangnam-gu Tancheon Water Regeneration Center, which Seoul City proposed as an alternative. The two are scheduled to continue discussions through a meeting next week.
