Minister of Land, Infrastructure and Transport Kim Yun-deok and Seoul Mayor Oh Se-hoon will meet again on the 26th to discuss the issue of housing supply in Yongsan Park. The government is proposing to supply rental housing for young people and newlyweds on a portion of the park, while the Seoul Metropolitan Government opposes it, emphasizing the historical and green value of Yongsan Park. The Seoul Metropolitan Government has also proposed supplying housing by utilizing sites around Yongsan Park or other areas (such as the site of the Tancheon Water Regeneration Center in Ilwon-dong, Gangnam-gu). It is expected that the meeting will discuss whether the two can narrow their differences and discuss other housing issues such as increasing the floor area ratio for private redevelopment projects and transferring the redevelopment and reconstruction rights of autonomous districts.
