According to the Bank of Korea's Business Survey Index (CBSI) results, the CBSI reached a record high of 99.6 for the first time in 3 years and 11 months due to increased demand for semiconductors and expansion of passenger demand during the holiday season. The manufacturing CBSI exceeded 100 for four consecutive months, showing the highest level since June 2022, and the non-manufacturing sector also rebounded due to increased passenger demand during the holiday season and improved performance in the information and communications industry. In particular, the CBSI of exporting companies reached a record high for the first time in 4 years and 3 months, leading the recovery of the manufacturing sector. Business outlook for September has also improved, raising expectations for economic revitalization.
