Following the impeachment of former President Yoon Suk-yeol, South Korea has provisionally set June 3 as the presidential election date. Once the election date is confirmed, voting by overseas Koreans is scheduled to take place from May 20 to 25. South Korean nationals aged 18 and older can register as voters through the National Election Commission website or by visiting overseas diplomatic missions. Overseas Koreans without resident registration can register as overseas voters, and those who participated in the previous overseas election are automatically registered on the permanent voter list and can vote without additional application. Each political party must register its candidate with the National Election Commission before the June 3 election date.
