The number of domestic COVID-19 inpatients is on the rise recently, but it is expected to be at a level of 11~48% compared to last year, so it is not expected to pose a major threat. The Korea Disease Control and Prevention Agency (KDCA) predicted that the scale of the maximum COVID-19 outbreak this summer will be much smaller than last year, and forecast the peak period from the end of this month to the end of next month. However, high-risk groups such as the elderly or immunocompromised individuals are still vulnerable to COVID-19 infection, so caution is necessary. The KDCA recommended mask wearing and prompt medical attention for high-risk groups in case of respiratory symptoms.
