China and Indonesia agreed to strengthen relations through a 2+2 dialogue between foreign and defense ministers. The two countries agreed to support each other's core interests and jointly oppose external interference, and formed a consensus on maintaining peace and stability in the South China Sea. They also plan to cooperate for the cessation of hostilities in Iran. This dialogue is the second meeting following last April, and Indonesia is the first country to establish a ministerial-level 2+2 dialogue mechanism with China. Wang Yi, China's foreign minister, criticized the United States, saying that unilateralism and hegemonic acts are causing serious shocks to the world.
