The Korea U-17 women's volleyball national team advanced to the round of 16 after recording five consecutive wins in the World Championship group stage. The representative team, composed of middle and high school students, defeated Algeria 3-0 to take first place in the group. In the process, main attacker Son Seo-yeon scored a total of 97 points in five games, taking the top spot in overall scoring. The team will play against the fourth-place team in Group B on the 13th to aim for a quarterfinal berth.
