Seoul conducted an emergency safety inspection on 37 large warehouses in the city following last month's fire at the Coupang logistics center in Incheon. As a result of the inspection, a total of 42 violations were found in four locations, including sprinkler malfunctions, lack of adaptive fire extinguishers, and installation of obstacles at the bottom of automatic fire shutters. Seoul imposed fines and issued corrective orders to violating warehouses and also conducted fire safety consulting. In particular, for important facilities such as Seoul Complex Logistics, which is designated as a Fire Prevention Reinforcement Zone, the fire station chief visited the site directly to provide safety consulting.
