The Chuncheon District Court recently sentenced repeat drunk drivers to severe penalties, including imprisonment or extension of probation periods. Mr. A was sentenced to 1 year and 10 months in prison after driving while intoxicated during his probation period, following a previous fine for drunk driving. Mr. B, who has a history of multiple drunk driving convictions and a very high blood alcohol concentration, received a sentence of 1 to 1 year and 6 months in prison. Mr. C's sentence was also strengthened from 1 year in prison with 2 years probation to 2 years in prison with 3 years probation, considering that he committed drunk driving again during the investigation.
