Negotiations for a peace treaty between the United States and Iran are progressing positively with Pakistan's mediation. The Pakistani Defense Minister said that the two countries are "close to some kind of agreement," and recent signs suggest that an agreement is imminent. The Iranian Interior Minister is also scheduled to visit Tehran to meet with Iranian officials. Qatar, as a mediator, has also reported positive statements from Iran and Oman regarding the resumption of traffic in the Strait of Hormuz.
