A fire broke out on the 15th floor of an apartment in Gayang-dong, Gangseo-gu, Seoul, resulting in the deaths of a 61-year-old woman and a 38-year-old man. The two were a mother and son who resided in the unit where the fire originated and lost their lives due to a fall. A 63-year-old woman living next door to the unit affected by the fire was transported to the hospital for smoke inhalation. Fire authorities extinguished the blaze within approximately 20 minutes and plan to investigate the cause of the fire.
