The Central Election Management Committee (CEMC) dismissed an election appeal for the Seoul mayoral race, citing reasons such as a shortage of ballot papers in some areas during the June 3 local elections. The CEMC determined that the shortage of ballot papers was unlikely to have significantly affected the election results. Similarly, appeals for nullification filed by former Seoul Superintendent of Education Cho Jeon-hyeok and former Incheon Superintendent of Education Lee Dae-hyung were also dismissed for the same reason. The CEMC rejected 12 other appeals for nullification of elections, including those for Busan mayor and Gyeonggi governor, citing "failure to comply with correction requests." The conclusions regarding election appeals filed by the People Power Party and the Reform Party have yet to be reached.
