South Korea's exports in the second quarter of 2023 reached a record high of $275.5 billion. This is due to the boom in the semiconductor industry, and particularly the strong export growth of Samsung Electronics and SK Hynix. Exports of electrical and electronic products stood out, accounting for 58% of total exports. On the other hand, consumer goods exports decreased, with a decrease in automobile exports cited as a major factor. By region, export increases were significant in the United States, China, and Southeast Asia.
