In the Democratic Party leadership election, the choice of Honam rights party members is emerging as a crucial factor determining the outcome. Candidates Kim Min-seok, Jeong Cheong-rae, and Song Young-gil are all actively targeting Honam and appealing for support. Currently, Candidate Kim holds an advantage in Honam, but attention is focused on the difference in voting sentiment between Jeonnam Gwangju and Jeonbuk, as well as the trend of votes for Candidate Song. If a decisive gap does not emerge in Honam, the results of the vote by rights party members in Seoul and Gyeonggi could determine the winner. In addition, in the Supreme Council election, candidates Kim Yong and Lee Seong-yun are engaged in fierce competition for fifth place.
