The Japanese government is pushing forward with revisions to three major security documents to strengthen national security, and has released the main points of the revisions to the National Defense Strategy and Defense Capability Enhancement Plan. The key contents are securing the quantity and quality of long-range missiles for attacking enemy missile launch sites, and introducing attack drones. In addition, it plans to enhance air defense capabilities by increasing the number of interceptor missiles and introducing interceptor drones, as well as establishing a surveillance system in the Pacific region. However, some introduction plans are being delayed due to rising prices of defense equipment.
