A team leader-level civil servant, Mr. A, belonging to the Seoul Metropolitan Government's Audit Committee, has been indicted by the prosecution on charges of sexual assault against a minor. Mr. A is accused of meeting and sexually assaulting a minor, and the Seoul Metropolitan Government suspended him from his position last April after notifying the initiation of an investigation. The Seoul Metropolitan Government plans to decide on additional disciplinary action depending on whether the prosecution decides to indict. Mr. A's actions are considered to be in violation of the Act on the Protection of Children and Adolescents.
