A man in his 30s, identified as A, allegedly committed a random murder in Seocheon, South Chungcheong Province, killing a woman in her 40s, identified as B, whom he had never met before, with a sharp weapon. A confessed to the crime and stated to police that he had recently fallen victim to fraud, lost money, and suffered significant stress as a result. Taking into account that A was wandering the streets with a sharp weapon before the crime and searching for a victim, police believe the murder was premeditated rather than a spontaneous act. Police are continuing their investigation and considering the release of A's personal information.
