Russia has developed a new electronic warfare system called Volna Kupol Garant designed to disrupt SpaceX's Starlink satellite communications. The system works by emitting high-frequency radio signals towards the satellites, overloading the receiving antennas and causing temporary disruptions to internet connectivity. While disrupting communication, Russia claims that the system will not physically damage the satellites. Volna Kupol Garant can create a jamming zone up to 20 square kilometers in size and is capable of targeting eight Starlink data transmission bands. The system consists of six modules mounted on a trailer and equipped with directional antennas.
