Russia has developed an electronic warfare system called Volna Kupol Garant designed to disrupt SpaceX's Starlink satellite communications. The system works by emitting high-frequency radio signals towards the satellites, overloading the receiving antennas and causing temporary disruptions to internet connectivity. Although it disrupts communication, Russia claims that the system will not physically damage the satellites. Volna Kupol Garant is capable of creating a jamming zone up to 20 square kilometers in size and targeting eight Starlink data transmission bands. The system consists of six modules mounted on trailers and equipped with directional antennas.
