Independent lawmaker Kim Byeong-ki is facing various suspicions, and the investigation has been delayed for 11 months. The Civic Solidarity Committee, which filed the complaint against him, requested the police to convene a prosecutorial review committee. The committee plans to thoroughly examine whether the investigation process was conducted appropriately and what the reasons are for the delay in reaching a conclusion. Rep. Kim Byeong-ki's side also argued that his reputation has been damaged due to the delayed investigation and submitted an opinion letter to the police urging them to conclude the investigation. Police said they have not yet reached a conclusion and are currently reviewing the law and conducting additional investigations.
