Iptu Motalip Litiloly from the Nduga Police Department, Papua Regional Police, was awarded the Hoegeng Awards 2026 in the Border and Remote Police category. He is known for his close relationship with the people of Nduga and his success in calming conflicts in the area through a humanistic approach. The community even demonstrated twice when Motalip was transferred, showing how much they trusted him. To get closer to residents who had experienced trauma from past interactions with uniformed officers, Motalip chose to interact wearing everyday clothes and only wore his police uniform when security issues arose. His closeness to the people of Nduga earned him the nickname "Pak Salib" by the locals who saw him as a protector.
