The US military conducted airstrikes on dozens of targets belonging to the IRGC (Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps) in Iran, following Iran's launch of ballistic missiles at US bases on the 28th. Through this airstrike, the US military demonstrated a strong response to Iran's attempted missile attack, targeting missile and drone facilities, coastal surveillance and defense facilities, and others. Iran has previously escalated tensions by attacking bases and oil facilities belonging to the United States and Saudi Arabia. The US counter-airstrikes are expected to further intensify the armed conflict between the two sides.
