Figure skater naturalized athlete Yuna Kwon has formed a new team with American-born Kihyun Kim after disbanding her team with Haeina Lim. Kwon showed her affection for Korea and did not give up her Korean athlete status, and she plans to compete in the Korean national team selection with Kim from the 2027-2028 season. However, according to the Korea Sports Association regulations, international competition participation is impossible in the 2026-2027 season. Kim is planning to recover his Korean nationality, and both athletes must have the same nationality to compete together at the Olympics.
