Ferrari's first electric car 'Purosangue' faced design controversy and a sharp drop in share prices upon its launch, but has achieved great popularity in the Chinese market, reaching its sales target for this year two months ahead of schedule. Starting at €550,000 (approximately KRW 920 million), the Purosangue is Ferrari's first-ever four-door five-seater model, designed by Jony Ive, former CDO of Apple. Ferrari is targeting the Purosangue not at its existing internal combustion engine enthusiast customer base, but at a new affluent class familiar with electric vehicles. It has set a cumulative sales target of 2,500 units by 2030, which corresponds to about 5% of its total annual sales volume.
