Intel will revive Hyper-Threading technology in its next-generation server processors called "Coral Rapids," expected to launch in 2028. This technology allows one physical processor core to function as two logical processors, improving resource utilization efficiency. The decision was made to enhance both single-thread and multi-thread performance in Intel server processors to compete in the market. Previously, Intel had discontinued Hyper-Threading in some of its latest processor generations to save space and power consumption. However, this technology is considered more effective for data center processors that handle many tasks simultaneously.
